End of Life Services

Saying goodbye to a cherished pet is one of life’s most difficult moments. SFAHS is here to offer guidance and support.

Partnering with Your Veterinarian

For most families, your veterinarian is the best resource for end-of-life care.
  • They are familiar with your pet’s medical history and overall condition.
  • They can help you make informed decisions about timing and comfort.
  • Veterinarians offer calm, private spaces where you can be with your pet.
  • Many clinics also provide mobile euthanasia services, allowing your pet to pass peacefully at home.

If Cost Is a Concern
Cost should never stand in the way of relieving a pet’s suffering.
If private care isn’t affordable, the shelter can provide a reduced-fee euthanasia.
Please note, we are unable to accommodate owner presence during the procedure.
